It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy MacGillvray, born May 4, 1925, who passed away on January 3, 2023. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Frank MacGillvray, her son Gregory Clarke, daughter Victoria Beverstein, and beloved grandson Brian Clarke. She is survived by her grandchildren, Julie, Kathleen, and Adam.
Dorothy was a dedicated public school secretary for the Toronto School Board for many years, and was well-respected and loved by her colleagues and the students she served. Despite her favourite restaurant being Swiss Chalet, Dorothy had a love for the finer things in life and treasured her Royal Dalton collection. She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Dorothy will be remembered as a kind, funny, and generous woman who brought joy and happiness to all those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
