July 4th, 1943 - January 7th, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry, with his loving family by his side, on Sunday January 7 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. He was in his 81st year.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan and his daughters Robin, Andrea and Erin (Stuart). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Mike (Emma), Steve, Hannah, Isabelle and Aidan, and great-grandfather to Abbie, Ben and Edwin.

Terry is survived by his sister Suzanne Raynor-Feeney, and his sister-in-law Nancy Raynor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Jean, brothers Chris and Keith, and by his infant daughter Catherine.

Terry will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Terry was very proud of his family and enjoyed a lifetime of family gatherings, camping trips, holidays abroad and attending sports events for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying NFL games and cheering on the Leafs and Blue Jays. Terry still loved to swim and play golf into his 70’s. He had a wonderful sense of humour, loved to share stories and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. He followed both national and international business and political issues. Terry was very proud of his 58 year career in the insurance industry, many of those years as an independent broker.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers connected to Groves Memorial Community Hospital and the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Nancy Rose-Janes for her care over the past 18 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Terry can be made to the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, or to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

The visitation, followed by the service, will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus on Monday, January 15, beginning at noon.
