Passed away peacefully at Highland Manor in his 81st year. Predeceased by his loving wife, Lorraine (2017), of over 50 years. He will be sadly missed by his children; Michael Rennick (Joey), Lynn Dickinson (Billy), Annette Brunkard (Greg), Laurie Giddy (Ian), as well as grandchildren; Logan, Kyle (Erin), Charlotte (Cory), Nicki and Joel (Katie). Great grandchildren Theo, Isabelle and Namiah. Also survived by his brother Ron Rennick, and predeceased by siblings Shirley Hodge and Ross Rennick. He will be fondly missed by his special friend Marilyn Hicks.

Allan was the 2nd generation of his family to work for the railroad. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railway for over 40 years.

His family are especially grateful to the staff at Highland Manor, as well as the care he received from health professionals; Stephanie Pick RN, BScN, CPMHN(C), Dr. Carlson, Dr. Hodkinson, Dr. Stickney and Dr. Sekhon.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus. Funeral will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11am, followed by a time of reception in the Wellington Room, located on the second floor. Elevator access is available. Burial of Allan’s casket will take place at McKee Cemetery following the reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus.
