With broken hearts we announce that Scott passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital after his 3rd battle with cancer with Cora, his best friend of 39 years and loving wife of 26 years by his side. Proud father of his son Gregory and his wife Victoria and his daughter Kelly. Loving son of Raymond Royce and his friend Jean of Conestoga.
Loving brother of Cathy and her husband Dan Rive of St Catherines, Laurie and her husband Dan Kirby of Thornbury. Sandy and her husband Henk Grootendorst of Maryhill.
Dear son in law of Willie DeGooyer of Sussex NB Loving brother in law of Willem and his wife Lisa DeGooyer of New Denmark,NB. Nicki and her husband John Robinson of Sussex NB. John DeGooyer of Sussex NB. Ron and his wife Terri DeGooyer of Lower Millstream NB.
Predeceased by his mother Shirley. His father in law Ron and his sister in law Rachelle.
Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
And missed by all his friends.
Scott was a dairy farmer up until 2003 , he farmed in Maryhill and also in Branchton. When the family moved to Fergus, Scott started Scott Royce Enterprises a vac/flusher truck business which he incredibly successfully owned and operated for the last 20 years of his life.
It was his calling, his passion and his life. He loved the work and all the people he worked for and with. We are so grateful for that.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. He wished for a celebration of his life in his shop at home at a later date.
