December 4th, 1935 - June 13th, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather on June 13, 2022 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Marlene (Ladd) for 62 years. Dear father of Paul (Colleen) and Graham. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Hannah, Ethan and Samuel.
Predeceased by his parents Wellington and Lena Tosh, and very special in-laws Stewart and Florence Ladd. Fondly missed by his sisters Doris (Gus), Helen (Bill) and sisters-in-law Rosalind, June, Marie (Norman), Glenise and Linda (Gord). Predeceased by his brothers Harold, Ernest, Norman, Lorne and his sister Audrey. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Don was very active in the community of Fergus. He dedicated countless hours with the Optimist Club, Royal Canadian Legion, Fergus Curling Club, Fergus Minor Ball, New to You and Lifeline, to name a few. He was especially proud to be named Citizen of the Year in 1982 for his outstanding service to the Town of Fergus.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or Melville United Church (Fergus) would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 24, 2022 from 4-7 PM at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus. Funeral Service to take place on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 11 AM at Melville United Church in Fergus. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for refreshments and fellowship at Church, with burial to follow at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus.
