ELORA – A driver has been charged after going around road closure barriers in the Elora area after a severe storm.
Wellington OPP report on Wednesday evening around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Second Line south of Elora.
The roadway was closed due to debris from the powerful storm earlier in the day. OPP report a black SUV had driven around road closure barricades and struck the debris.
As a result, a 45-year-old driver from Kitchener has been charged with drive on a closed highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
